Why Physio Pilates

Physio Pilates classes are modified versions of traditional pilates, which use clinical physiotherapy knowledge and skills in line with evidence-based treatment.

 

As a specialised musculoskeletal physiotherapist, I use my expertise in anatomy, physiology, and movement analysis to safely guide my clients through classes. I use clinical skills to ensure that all exercises are adapted to your needs, while helping you progress in a graded, gradual way. 

 

Pilates method is a mind-body centering technique that emphasises the importance of beginning movement from a central core of stability. From this, pilates exercises are then implemented using various limb movements. Each exercise can be adjusted in intensity for all abilities. 

 

I keep my class sizes small to ensure a high standard of care for each individual, as well as a safe physiotherapist to participant ratio.
